EA Sports has announced that it's terminating its support for FIFA Mobile on Windows phones later this year. Described as "an all-new football experience built for the mobile player", FIFA Mobile launched last October on iOS, Android and Windows phones, and the company continues to promote the game for all three platforms on its website.
FIFA Mobile is still listed on the Windows Store too, with no indication of its upcoming demise. But in a post on Facebook, EA said that the game will be completely discontinued on Windows phones in just under three months:
"As of November 7, 2017, we are sunsetting FIFA Mobile on Windows devices. We will no longer support or update online services for this game. The decision to retire games services is never easy. We’ve put time into creating FIFA Mobile for your Windows device and you’ve put even more time into playing it. We will continue to run online services for the next 90 days, until November 7." If you want to Buy FIFA Mobile Coins, we z2u.com can give you a very low price, welcome to buy.
While fans of the game on Windows phones will no doubt be disappointed by the news, it comes as no great surprise. Microsoft's vanishingly small share of the global smartphone market - just 0.1% last quarter, according to IDC - offers little incentive for app and game developers to continue supporting its mobile OS.
EA is already warning users of FIFA Mobile on the game about the game’s future, too. FIFA Mobile probably won’t make a comeback to Windows phone ever, so this is certainly going to be quite sad for fans of the FIFA games on Windows Phone.
