If you’ve been a lapsed World of Warcraft player for the past 10-plus years, you’ve probably let some relationships fall by the wayside — for example, the entire guild that formed the core of your social life when you were in a suffocatingly small Christian high school in Texas. Maybe you’ve found yourself sipping a beverage in the loneliest corner of your local bar wondering, “What ever happened to those folks?” and “Why didn’t they let complete my tier 2 armour set before the first expansion came out, those dicks?” Well, with WoW Classic around the corner, Blizzard is now trying to help you get answers to both of those questions.
Introduced still very recently, Blizzard has launched a forum tool called Classic Connections 2004 - 2006. It's simple to use, as all players have to do is first select either Horde or Alliance (the two main factions from the original game), then what type of server they were on - PVE, PVP, role-playing PVE, or role-playing PVP. After picking their server, they just post who they were and wait to see if they recognize any of their old comrades or are recognized themselves. Blizzard has recommended that players share their old character name, race, class and guild for better results, as well as any names of other players that they want to find and chat with again. If you want to know where to Buy World of Warcraft Classic Items, 5mmo.com will be your best choice.
To use the Classic Connections tool and find fellow WoW veterans that you used to play with, all a players has to do is login to the official Blizzard Forums, use the Classic Connections 2004-2006 tool, and get started. The process is simple and straightforward - you choose whether you were in the Alliance or the Horde, and then you choose which realm you played on - Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Roleplaying PvP. Afterwards, you will be prompted to submit a forum post that includes your character's name, gender, race, and class, the guild/s you were associated with, and the names of the players you would like to reconnect with.
With this tool, Blizzard hopes that many players will be able to reconnect and rekindle old friendships over the release of WoW Classic.
